Gianna placed 10th at D1 States and broke a school record by dropping her seed time of 1:13.26, swimming a 1:11.53.
After losing some strong seniors last season this year the swim team is looking up to the next group of seniors to lead them. They are hopeful to have a good run in the CCL Cup. Head Coach Kowalski states “After only a few days, I see some real talent in our new 7th and 8th graders. We have returning swimmers that will almost certainly qualify for Sectional and State Championships. (which were not held in 2020 due to COVID)
We are all really excited to get back to real swim meets after only being able to swim virtual meets last year. Our first meet is scheduled for the week of Dec. 13, so we will get a good picture of where we stand after that.”

- Sectionals Qualifing time from Gianna Guerriero in the 50 Free with a 27.01 and a State qualifiing time in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:15.67.
- Evan O'Brien Personal Best Time in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 59.62
Overall a very exciting meet vs. Stang. Both teams evenly matched and very competitive. This was our first live meet since Feb. 2019.

- Impressive Swim by Madeline Cleary (8th grade) in the 500 Free dropping her time by 13 seconds and swimming a PB 6:49.20.
- Emma Brown (8th grade) lowered her 200 I.M. to a season best 2:36.40
- Senior Grace Mahoney swam a PB in both her events 100Backstroke 1:20.88 and 100 free 1:08.85.
- As a group, our younger newer swimmers of 7th and 8th graders did very well as many of them swam events for the first time, swam PB and raced smart. Kudos to Ivan, Brigid, Iyla, Thomas, Saraellen, Gabriella, Keila, and Jingrui.
While vastly outnumbered by an older and very fast swimming Austin Prep team, A.W.H.S had some very good races, improved times and showed up for this meet.

CCL CHAMPIONSHIPS - 2-6-22
This year, the CCL Swimming Championship format was changed to having a Girls and Boys Champion instead of an overall champion.

- Caitlin Seibert (Junior) sang the National Anthem at the start of the meet.
- All but FIVE events swum by A.W.H.S swimmers were PB's.
- Seniors Grace, Kayleigh, Olivia and Elizabeth all swam their best times in each event they were in.
- Emma Brown (8th grade) placed 6th place in the 200 free, going 2:15.59. Emma also placed 3rd in the 100 Backstroke narrowly missing a Sectionals cut with a time of 1:07.72.

South Sectionals Swimming Championships - 2-12-22
Our lone entry for Sectionals was Gianna. She qualified for the 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke.

50 Free - Gianna placed 13th with a PB time of 26.89.
100 Breaststroke - Gianna again placed 13th with a PB time of 1:13.26. (Her seed time was a 1:14.44)
Gianna scored a total of 8 points at the championship.

BISHOPS GO INTO THE POSTSEASON AT THE MIAA SOUTH SECTIONALS SWIM CHAMPIONSHIPS THIS WEEKEND
The Bishops are sending a school-record number of competitors to MIT this weekend to compete against over 35 other schools in the South Sectional Swimming Championships on Saturday and Sunday.
The Girls South Sectional competition is on Saturday morning at MIT. Liz Galicki ’21 has qualified to compete in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke and Nicole Miller ’21 has qualified to compete in the 200 Freestyle and the 100 Butterfly. Each girl had to clock a time below the qualifying standard to compete in this event during the regular dual meet season or the CCL Championships. Liz is seeded 4th in the 50 Free and 6th in the 100 Backstroke. Nicole is seeded 15th in the 200 Free and 20th in the 100 Butterfly.
The Bishops qualified all three relays, the 200 Medley Relay, the 200 Freestyle Relay 200, and the 400 Freestyle Relay for the Sectional Meet. The Bishops qualified three relay teams for the Sectionals for the first time in Bishops Swimming History. On the relays, Liz and Nicole will be joined by Lauren O’Brien ’21, Captain Megan Miller ’20, Grace Mahoney ’22, and Megan Baio ’24.
The boy's Sectional Meet is on Sunday morning. The boys qualified a relay team for the first time in Bishop’s Swimming History by meeting the Sectional time standards in the 200 Freestyle Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay. The Bishops are coming off a hot meet last Sunday where they broke the CCL League Meet record in both events and won both events going away. Representing Archbishop Williams will be Sam Rossini ‘21, Kevin Pegurri ‘21, Captain Teddy Rossini ‘20, Abayomi Graham ’21, and Evan O’Brien ’24.
BISHOPS SUPER AT THE CCLs
The Bishops placed second at the 20th Annual Central Catholic League Championships on February 2, 2020 at St. John’s Danvers but that didn't keep the Bishops off the podium and Super Sunday.
Junior Sam Rossini won the 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle and he was on the winning 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay teams with Captain Teddy Rossini, Junior Kevin Pegurri and Junior Abayomi Graham. The Bishops broke the CCL League meet records in both events and qualified for post season competition in both relays. Sam Rossini won four blue ribbons and defended his 100 Freestyle crown for the third consecutive year.
The Bishops started the scoring in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with the team of Liz Galicki, Megan Miller, Nicole Miller and Lauren O’Brien placed third, qualified for post season competition and broke the girls school record in the event.
Kevin Pegurri placed third in the 200 Freestyle and broke his own school record and the magical 2:00 mark with Captain Teddy Rossini (4th), Nicole Miller (5th) (just out of the water and qualifying for post season competition) and Grace Mahoney (14th) scoring for the Bishops.
Eighth grader Evan O’Brien led the IM contingent placing 7th, with Captain Megan Miller (13th) and Lauren O’Brien (14th) rounding out the scoring for the Bishops in this event. Evan broke the boy’s school record in this event.
The Bishops noted for their freestyle sprinting abilities didn’t let anyone down. Sam Rossini won bragging rights and league’s fastest swimmer in the 50 Yard Freestyle and claimed the first of four wins of the day with Abayomi Graham close behind placing third, and Liz Galiki finished fourth and broke the girl’s League meet record and better her own school record.
Evan O’Brien surprised everyone by placing 3rd (of 21) in the 100 Butterfly. Nicole Miller place a close 4th and qualified for post season competition. Evan broke his own boy’s school record in this event.
The Bishops topped the podium in again in the 100-yard Freestyle when Sam Rossini won his second individual event and defedned his crown for the thrid consecuive year and Captain Teddy Rossini finished third ( of 28 entries).
Kevin Pegurri finished 4th (of 19 entries) in the 500-yard Freestyle with Grace Mahoney placing 15th).
The 200 Freestyle Relay won going away and broke the League meet record in the process. The team of Abayomi Graham, Sam Rossini, Teddy Rossini and Kevin Pegurri who got out of the water in the 500 Free. The team broke the school record and qualified for post season competition.
The 100 Backstroke saw Liz Galicki place second just missing out on a win by just a second, she broke her own school record and qualified for post season competition. Captain Megan Miller placed 5th, Lauren O’Brien finished 7th and placed Ashley Charlton 15th.
Abayomi Graham placed 6th in the 100 Breaststroke in the last individual event.
The relay team of Captain Teddy Rossini, Sam Rossini, Kevin Pegurri and Abayomi Graham (just out of the water), blasted away the field winning by over seven seconds, broke the League record, school record and qualified for post season competition.
The Bishops B team of Nicole Miller, Megan Miller, Lauren O’Brien and Liz Galicki finished sixth, broke the girls school record and qualified for post season competition.
DRAGONS SWIM PAST BISHOPS
The Bishops dropped their final regular season meet to the perennial powerhouse of the Boston City League Boston Latin Academy 91-78, on January 28, 2020.
The Bishops finished the 2019 - 2020 season with a 7-2 dual meet record.
Some Highlights: the Bishops won all 4 individual freestyle events: Junior Kevin Pegurri won the 200 (and lowered his own school record) and 500 Freestyle, Junior Sam Rossini won the 100 Freestyle and Junior Abayomi Graham won the 50 Free. Eighth grader Evan O'Brien placed second in the 200 IM and 100 Butterfly and he broke school records in both events.
The Bishops wrap up their regular season at the CCL Championship meet on February 2, 2020 at St John's Prep.
BISHOPS TAME O’BRYANT TIGERS
The Bishops beat their Division 1 opponent, John D. O'Bryant School of Science and Math, on Tuesday afternoon by a score of 94-71 ion Weymouth. The Bishops improved their dual meet record to 7-1 on the season.
The Bishops 200 Freestyle Relay team qualified for the State meet. For the second time in four days the Bishops broke an AWHS school record and qualified for post season competition. The team of Sam Rossini, Abayomi Graham, Kevin Pegurri and Captain Teddy Rossini raced to an 11 second victory over the O'Bryant entry. The boys join the girls who have qualified previously for post season competition: Liz Galicki, Nicole Miller, Captain Megan Miller, Lauren O'Brien, and Grace Mahoney.
The Bishops finished 1-2 in the 200 Medley Relay to jump out to a 12-2 lead. The team of Evan O’Brien, Abayomi Graham, Kevin Pegurri and Teddy Rossini raced to win the event with Liz Galicki, Captain Megan Miller, Nicole Miller and Lauren O’Brien placing second.

Evan O’Brien won the 200 Individual Medley with Megan Miller and Megan Baio close behind for a 1-2-3 sweep.
Teddy Rossini and Abayomi Graham won a judge’s decision in the 50 Freestyle finishing 1-2 with three swimmer finishing with .06 seconds of one another.
Evan O’Brien, Nicole Miller and Megan Baio placed 2-3-4 in the 100 Butterfly for a 73-37 lead.
Nicole Miller won the 500 Freestyle with Grace Mahoney (3rd) and Aislin Kelleher (5th).
The team of Teddy Rossini, Kevin Pegurri, Abayomi Graham and Sam Rossini won the 200 Freestyle Relay and qualified for the States.
Liz Galicki, Megan Miller and Lauren O’Brien went 1-2-3 in the 100 Backstroke.
Megan Baio placed second in the 100 Breaststroke with Ashley Charlton (4th) and Kayleigh Maynard (5th) scoring for the Bishops.
The Bishops went 1-2 in the final event, the 400 Freestyle Relay, with the team of Teddy Rossini, Abayomi Graham, Kevin Pegurri and Sam Rossini placing 1st and the team of Nicole Miller, Lauren O’Brien, Megan Miller and Liz Galicki placing second.
The Bishops conclude their dual meet season on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at the Flaherty Pool in Roslindale against the perennial Boston City League Champions Boston Latin Academy.
BISHOPS BEAT THE SNOW AND SPARTANS
The Bishops beat the snow home and St Mary’s (Lynn) on January 18, 2020 at St John’s Prep by a score of 89 – 62. The Bishops improved their dual meet season record to 6-1 and finished the CCL dual meet record at 5-1, posting their best record in the 20-year history of the program.
The highlight of the day came at the last event of the meet: the 400 Freestyle Relay. For the first time in the history of the AWHS swimming program the boys qualified a relay team for the Sectionals and States. The team of Teddy Rossini, Sam Rossini, Abayomi Graham and Kevin Pegurri broke the school record set last week by 10 seconds and beat the State and Sectional qualifying mark by 1 second. The team will swim at BU and MIT in post season action along with the girls who have previously qualified for the post season competition: Liz Galicki, Nicole Miller, Megan Miller, Lauren O’Brien and Grace Mahoney.
The Bishops took 1-2 in the 200 Medley Relay. The team of Evan O’Brien, Abayomi Graham, Kevin Pegurri and Teddy Rossini raced to a win and broke the boys Medley Relay School Record along the way. Liz Galicki, Lauren O’Brien, Megan Miller and Grace Mahoney placed second and the Bishops took a 12-2 lead.
Kevin Pegurri and Teddy Rossini finished 1-2 in the 200 Freestyle with Aislin Kelleher taking 4th.
The Individual Medley team of Evan O’Brien, Megan Miller and Lauren O’Brien swept the podium in a 1-2-3 finish and the Bishops led the meet 37-9.
The sprint team of Sam Rossini and Abayomi Graham raced to a 1-2 finish in the 50 Freestyle.’
In the 100 Butterfly Evan O’Brien and Megan Miller went 1-2 with Taia Alexander taking 4th.
The distance team of Teddy Rossini and Grace Mahoney took 1-2 in the 500 Free.
The 200 Freestyle team of Kevin Pegurri, Sam Rossini, Abayomi Graham and Evan O’Brien claimed fist place and broke the boys school record by 10 seconds. The realy team of Matt Wuestefeld, Kayleigh Maynard, Ashley Charlton and Alannah Kearney placed third.
Liz Galicki breezed to a win in the 100 Backstroke with Lauren O’Brien and Alannah Kearney placing 2-3 for a Bishop’s sweep.
Ashley Charlton, Althaia Alexander and Kayleigh Maynard went 2-3-4 in the 100 Breaststroke.
The Bishops took 1-2 in the 400 Free Relay with Grace Mahoney, Lauren O’Brien, Megan Miller and Liz Galicki taking second and the boys’ relay qualifying for the States.
The Bishops take on the Tigers of O’Bryant School of Math and Science on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the Connell Memorial Pool in Weymouth at 3:30 PM.
BISHOPS WIN CRUSADERS II ON SENIOR DAY
For the second time this weekend the Bishops defeated the Crusaders; this time the Lowell Catholic Crusaders by a score of 91-71 on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Randolph High School. The team honored their two Senior Captains Teddy Rossini and Megan Miller and the Captains had quite a day. Megan qualified for post season competition in the 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay and helped set two school records on the way and Teddy had three second place finishes with a record breaking performance in the 400 Free Relay as the Bishops closed out their home season and hit the road for their final three dual meets. The Bishops qualified two individual swimmers and two relays for post season competition during the meet.
The Bishops finished 1-2 in the 200 Medley Relay for a 12-2 lead out of the gate. The team of Liz Galicki, Abayomi Graham, Nicole Miller won the race followed by Lauren O’Brien, Colin Hingston, Megan Miller and Teddy Rossini in second place.
Kevin Pegurri, Teddy Rossini and Lauren O’Brien combined for a 1-2-3 sweep in the 200 Free.
Evan O’Brien, Colin Hingston and Megan Miller placed 1-2 and 4 in the 200 Medley Relay.
Sam Rossini and Abayomi Graham finished 1-2 in the 50 Free.
Nicole Miller and Evan O’Brien finished 1-2 with Megan Baio placing fifth in the 100 Butterfly. Evan made up a two-body length deficit to the LC swimmer over the last 30 yards of the race for another exiting effort. Nicole’s effort qualified her for post season competition.
In the 100 Freestyle, Sam Rossini won his 3rd event of the day with Liz Galicki placing second and Grace Mahoney placing fourth. Liz qualified for post season competition with her effort.
Kevin Pegurri won the 500 Free in a breeze with Teddy Rossini finishing second.
The relay team of Nicole Miller, Grace Mahoney, Megan Miller and Liz Galicki won the 200 free relay and qualified for post season competition, with the team of Evan O’Brien, Abayomi Graham, Colin Hingston and Matt Wuestefeld placing second.
Ashley Charlton placed third and Alannah Kearney finished fifth in the 100 Backstroke.
Abayomi Graham won the 100 Breaststroke followed by Colin Hingston in second and Megan Baio in fourth.
The relay team of Teddy Rossini, Sam Rossini, Evan O’Brien and Kevin Pegurri won the 400 Freestyle Relay shattering their boys school record by seven seconds and the team of Nicole Miller, Lauren O’Brien, Megan Miller and Liz Galicki broke the girls school record in this event for the 3rd time in three meets and qualified for post season competition.
This Bishops resume CCL action next Saturday afternoon when they visit St Mary’s of Lynn at the St John’s Prep pool.
BISHOPS BEAT CRUSADERS I
For the first time in AWHS swimming history the Bishops found themselves on the winning end of a swim meet with Bishop Fenwick. Fenwick is a perennial powerhouse in the CCL as claimed the CCL Championship eight times in the 20 history of the league.
The Bishops lead off with a 1-2 start in the first event the 200 Medley Relay and never looked back claiming an early 12-2 lead.
The Relay Team of Liz Galicki, Abayomi Graham, Kevin Pegurri and Sam Rossini cruised into first place and the team of Lauren O’Brien, Colin Hingston,
Capt. Megan Miller and Capt. Teddy Rossini placed second just touching out the Fenwick squad by less than one second.
Nicole Miller won the 200 Free, qualifying for post season competition, with Capt Teddy Rossini close behind for a 1-2 finish.
The Bishops placed 2-3-4 in the 200 Individual Medley, Evan O’Brien, Colin Hingston and Abayomi Graham scoring for the Bishops.
Sam Rossini won the 50 Free, followed by Kevin Pegurri (2nd) and Grace Mahoney (5th).
Evan O’Brien won the 100 Butterfly, breaking the boys school records in the process, by just touching out the Fenwick swimmer by .7 of s second and making up a body length deficit in the last 30 yards of the race. Captain Megan Miller and Megan Baio placed 5th and 6th.

Bishops Tame Cougars
The Bishops kicked off the New Year by beating the Arlington Catholic Cougars 89-76 on Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Randolph High School Pool improving their record to 3-1 (2-1 CCL, 1-0 non conference).
The Medley Relay team of Liz Galicki, Abayomi Graham, Nicole Miller and Sam Rossini won the first events and Ashley Charlon, Colin Hingston, Megan Baio and Grace Mahoney took three to give the Bishops and early 10-4 lead and the Bishops never looked back.
Kevin Pegurri won the 200 Freestyle, Teddy Rossini placed second and Althaia Alexander placed 5th,
Evan O’Brien, Colin Hingston and Megan Miller placed 2-3-4 in the grueling 200 Individual Medley.
Abayomi Graham won the 50 Free with Sam Rossini placing 2nd and Grace Mahoney taking 5th.
The team of Evan O’Brien, Megan Baio and Althaia Alexander placed 2-3-4 in the 100 Butterfly.

Kevin Pegurri, Teddy Rossini and Grace Mahoney placed 2-3-5 in the 500 Freestyle to give the Bishops a 28-point lead after this event.
The relay team of Abayomi Graham, Nicole Miller, Colin Hingston and Teddy Rossini won the 200 Free Relay, with Matthew Wuestefeld, Kayleigh Maynard, Ashley Charlton and Althaia Alexander placing 3rd.
Liz Galicki won the 100 Backstroke, and teammates Megan Miller took 3rd and Alannah Kearney placed 5th.
Abayomi Graham took the 100 Breaststroke for the Bishops in the most exciting race of the evening. Abayomi was a body length behind AC swimmer after 50 yards and closed the deficit in the last 25 yards, just touching out the AC swimmer by .11 of a second. Colin Hingston placed third and Megan Baio placed 5th.
The Bishops placed 1st and 3rd in the 400 Free Relay. The relay team of Liz Galicki, Grace Mahoney, Nicole Miller and Megan Miller beat a 13-year-old girls school record by 16 seconds, eclipsing the mark set by Heather McLarchlan '07, Jill Connors '09, Lauren Smith '07, Jill Birolini '08 in 2007 at the State Championship Meet in 20007.

Bishops Beat Matignon
The Bishops resumed swimming action on a busy pre-Christmas weekend beating the Matignon Warriors 95-66 on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Randolph High School improving their record to 2-1 on the young season.
The Bishops claimed an early lead in the 200 Medley Relay placing 1st (Liz Galicki ’21, Abayomi Graham ’21, Kevin Pegurri ’21 and Nicole Miller ’21) and 3rd (Megan Miller ’20, Lauren O’Brien ’21, Evan O’Brien ’24 and Grace Mahoney ’22).
The Bishops placed 1st, 2nd and 5th in the 200 Free (Kevin Pegurri ’21, Liz Galicki ’21 and Megan Baio ’22).

The Austin Prep Cougars, the reigning CCL champions, held off the Bishops 89-81 on December 20, 2019 at Randolph High School. During the meet, the lead see-sawed, changing hands 5 times during the eleven event meet. The highlights for the Bishops:

BISHOP PREPARE FOR TWO CCL MEETS THIS WEEKEND
On Friday. December 20, 2019, the Bishops have a meet with Austin Prep (the reigning CCL Champions) at the Randolph High School pool. Warm-ups are at 6:00 PM and the meet should begin by 6:30 PM and should be finished by 8:00 PM.
On Sunday, December 22, 2019, the Bishops host Matignon at Randolph High School, warm-ups are at 11:00 AM, the meet should begin at 11:30 AM and be finished at 1:00 PM.

BISHOPS WIN 2019 SEASON OPENER
The Bishop opened the 2019-2020 by beating the Aqua Jets of East Boston on opening day. Junior Kevin Pegurri led the Bishops by claiming 4 1st place finishes in the 200 Free and 500 Free and the 200 and 400 Free relays.
The Bishops introduced Abayomi Graham who promptly set a new boys’ school record in the 100-yard breaststroke and he won the event for the Bishops. Abayomi placed second in the 50 Free and was on the winning 200 Medley Relay team and the 200 Free Relay Team.
Sophomore Colin Hingston broke the boys school record in the 200 Individual Medley winning that event and placing second in the 100 Breaststroke.
Eight grader Evan O’Brien broke the boys school record in the 100 butterfly with junior Nicole Miller close behind. Nicole placed second in the 200 IM as well. Evan was on the 200 Medley and Freestyle Relay teams.
Sam Rossini broke his own boys school record in the 100 Freestyle placing second and was on the wining Medley and 400 Free Relay teams.
Junior Liz Galicki won the 100 Backstroke, qualified for post season competition in the 100 Free and was on the winning Medley Relay team.
Senior Teddy Rossini finished second in the 20 and 500 Free and was on the winning 200 and 400 Free relay teams. Senior Megan Miller placed second in the 100 Backstroke.

Some Info from the 2018-19 Season
The Bishops led by Senior Co-Captains Kelsey Harrington and Kelsey Akoury guided the Bishops to a 4th place finish (3-3) in the CCL dual meet season and 5-3 record overall. Going into the CCL League Championship meet the Bishops experienced a power surge. The Bishops finished third for the past three consecutive years, last year missing 2nd place by 4 points. This year the Bishops muscled past Fenwick for a 2nd place finish, breaking the 6-year stranglehold Austin Prep/Fenwick maintained on 1st and 2nd place in the CCL.
The Bishops broke school records in every event during the year. (The norm would be 3 or possibly 4 records a year.)

Sam Rossini ‘21 broke 3 school records this year, he is a 5x CCL Champion, and this year he won 100 Free, 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay and placed 3rd in the 50 Free. Sam was undefeated in the 100 Freestyle through the dual meet season and CCL Championship Meet, and he holds 5 school records
Liz Galicki ‘21 broke the school records for the 100 backstroke and the 50 Free, swimming on the CCL Championship Relays in 400 Free Relay and the 200 Free Relay she was the only Bishop to qualify for the States and Sectionals. Liz currently holds 5 school records.
Coach’s Award
Evan O’Brien ’24. Coaches are always looking for versatile swimmers who are willing to compete in events that help the team the most while maintaining a good attitude. This 7th grader not only competed where needed but excelled and broke school records in some of the toughest events: the Medley Relay, 200 IM, and 100 Butterfly. His attitude at meets and practice was admirable and his hard work and diligence throughout the season showed up in the results. This young man had great rookie season because he accepted the challenges before him, worked hard to excel and help his team.

SECOND AT THE
CCL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Bishops broke the 1-2 stranglehold of two CCL swimming dominant schools by breaking through to a second-place finish at the 19th Annual CCL Swimming Championship. Austin Prep and Bishop Fenwick have placed 1-2 during the regular season and the CCL Championships for the past six years. The Bishops have been looking to improve their CCL finish which includes three consecutive third-place finishes; the Bishops came within 4 points of the runner-up position in 2018. This season the Bishops finished a disappointing 4th place out of seven teams during the regular dual meet season (5-3 overall, 3-3 CCL). However, this year the Bishops muscled their way past Fenwick and finished second at the CCL Swimming Championships on February 2, 2019, at the St John’s Prep pool.
Sam Rossini led the Bishops with three 1st place finishes and a third-place finish to claim the title of the highest scoring swimmer at the meet. Sam defended his crowns in the 100 Free and 200 Free Relay and he was on the team that won the 400 Free Relay for a total of 56 points out of a possible 60 points leading all CCL swimmers in scoring. (A school record!).
Teddy Rossini, Liz Galicki, Kevin Pegurri along with Sam raced to victory in the 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relays breaking school records in each event.
Liz Galicki eclipsed her own record in the 50 Free placing 4th and placed second in the100 Backstroke breaking three school swimming records on the day.
Kevin Pegurri placed 2nd in the 200 Free and 3rd in the 500 Free breaking his own school record in the 500 Free and the about 10 minutes later was in the water swimming in the championship 200 Free Relay and was on the record-breaking teams in both free relays and notching 3 school records.
The 200 Medley Relay of Megan Miller, Colin Hingston, Evan O’Brien, and Wil Hingston placed 7th.
In the 200 Freestyle Teddy Rossini (5th) and Captain Kesley Akoury 16th joined Kevin Pegurri 2nd in the scoring for this event.
7th grader Evan O’Brien (7th) led the Bishops in the 200 IM event with Megan Miller (8th) and Wil Hingston (12th) rounding out the scoring.
Sam Rossini placed 3rd and Liz Galicki placed 5th in the 50 Free.
Evan O’Brien (7th) and Colin Hingston (15th) scored in the 100 Butterfly.
The Bishops struck gold in the 100 Free when Sam Rossini placed (1st) with his brother Teddy Rossini (5th) close behind. Sam broke the school record while defending his 100 Free CCL Meet title.
The 200 Relay Team of Liz Galicki, Kevin Pegurri, Teddy Rossini and Sam Rossini reclaimed their CCL championship title in this event and lowered the school record again winning by a touch-out of .14 of a second.
Liz Galicki placed second the 100 Backstroke and Liz was joined by Captain Kelsey Harrington (15th) in the backstroke scoring.
The team of Colin Hingston (7th), Megan Miller (8th) and Lauren O’Brien (14Th) all scored in the 100 Breaststroke.
In the 400 Free Relay, the team of Teddy Rossini, Sam Rossini, Kevin Pegurri and Liz Galicki struck gold again by winning this final event by 7 seconds and breaking the school record in this event again.

Bishops Swim Past Spartans
The Bishops beat the Spartans of St Mary 73- 63 at the Randolph Community Pool on January 6, 2019. The Bishops kicked off the New Year by winning all 10 events and elevating their season record to 4-1.
The team honored their two senior captains Kelsey Harrington and Kelsey Akoury for their hard work over the past 4 years and the leadership, guidance and mentoring for they provided for members of the team. Both Captains have served in that capacity for the past two years and have guided the underclassmen for the past two years. They did a fantastic job for the team!

The 400 Freestyle Relay of Sam Rossini, Teddy Rossini, Evan O’Brien, and Kevin Pegurri claimed the school record in that event.
Kevin Pegurri cruised to a win in the 200 Freestyle followed up by Teddy Rossini in second and Captain Kelsey Harrington in 5th.

Sam Rossini won the 50 followed by Liz Galicki (who qualified for post-season competition in this event) and Wil Hingston finished 4t.
Evan O’Brien led a 1-2-3 sweep in the 100 Fly with Colin Hingston and Althaia Alexander.
Kevin Pegurri won the 500 Freestyle going away and Captains Kelsey Harrington and Kelsey Akoury place 3rd and 4th.
In the 200 Free Relay the Bishops swept the field again with Liz Galicki, Lauren O’Brien, Megan Miller, and Megan Baio placing first, Althaia Alexander, Grace Mahoney, Alannah Kearney and Lily McAvay placing second and Brianna Adams, Nikky S, Kagan Daley and Tyler Dao placing third.
Liz Galicki won the 100 Backstroke (qualifying for post-season competition) with Megan Baio (3rd) and Lily McAvay (4th) rounding out the scoring.
Colin Hingston led another 1-2-3 sweep with Megan Miller and Lauren O’Brien close behind in the 100 Breaststroke.
Sam Rossini won the 100 Free followed by Teddy Rossini (2nd) and Wil Hingston (4th).
The Bishops resume CCL action next Sunday at Bishop Fenwick.
BISHOPS TAME COUGARS
The Bishops hit the road on Thursday, December 20 after finishing exams, braving late buses and Boston traffic then proceeding to beat the Cougars of Arlington Catholic at Medford High School 86-74. The win improved the Bishop’s record to 3-1 at the halfway mark of the season.
The Bishops started the scoring by winning the 200 Medley Relay (Liz Galicki, Megan Miller, Kevin Pegurri and Sam Rossini) the 200 Medley Relay and the B team placed third (Lauren O’Brien, Colin Hingston, Evan O’Brien and Wil Hingston) to take a 10-4 lead out of the gate.
The next event, the 200 Freestyle, saw Kevin Pegurri and Teddy Rossini place 1-2 with Captain Kelsey Harrington finishing 4th to extend the Bishop’s lead to 16 points.
The Bishops swept the 200 IM with Evan O’Brien, Megan Miller and Lauren O’Brien finishing 1-2-3.
Sam Rossini and Liz Galicki finished 1-2 in the 50 Free with Wil Hingston picking up a point as well to extend the lead for the meet to 30 points.
Seventh Grader Evan O’Brien placed 2nd in the 100 Butterfly (claiming the boys’ school record) and he was joined by Colin Hingston and Althaia Alexander for a 2-3-4 finish.
The brothers Rossini, Sam and Teddy, finished 1-2 in the 100 Freestyle, with Wil Hingston placing 4th. Sam lowered his school record time in the 100 Free.
Kevin Pegurri lowered his school record time in the 500 Free while winning a tough race. Captains Kelsey Harrington and Kelsey Akoury came in 4th and 5th respectively.
In the 200 Free the Bishops A team placed first (Evan O’Brien, Lauren O’Brien, Colin Hingston and Teddy Rossini) and the B team placed 3rd (Althaia Alexander, Alannah Kearney, Grace Mahoney and Lily McAvay).
Liz Galicki won the 100 Backstroke by 16 seconds, Megan Baio placed second and Bianca Boncaldo came in 4th.
The Bishops placed 1-2-3 in the 100 Breaststroke led by Colin Hingston, with Megan Miller and Lauren O’Brien finishing just behind Colin.
The 400 Free Relay of Teddy Rossini, Sam Rossini, Kevin Pergurri and Liz Galicki placed first and the B team of Althaia Alexander, Grace Mahoney, Kelsey Harrington and Wil Hingston placed 3rd to round out the scoring.
The Bishops host the Spartans of St. Mary (Lynn) on January 6, 2019 at Randolph High School in our last home meet of the year in which we will honor our seniors!!!!

The Bishops improved their season record to 2-1 after bearing Lowell Catholic Sunday, December 16 at Randolph High School. The Bishops won all eleven events on route to their second win of the season.
The scoring began when the Bishop Medley Relay team of Liz Galicki, Megan Miller, Kevin Pegurri and Sam Rossini placed first and the team of Evan O’Brien, Lauren O’Brien, Colin HIngston and Wil Hingston placed third to jump out to a 10-4 lead after one event. Kevin broke the boys school record! The Bishops would never look back.
The 200 Freestyle saw Kevin Pegurri win, with Teddy Rossini and Capt Kelsey Harrington place 3rd and 4th respectively and the Bishops extended their lead to 21-9.
Lauren O’Brien won the 200 IM with teammates Evan O’Brien (2nd) and Megan Miller (3rd) combining to a 1-2-3 sweep. The three swimmers finish within one second or each other and extended the lead for the Bishops to 34-12.
Sam Rossini and Liz Galicki finished 1-2 in the 50 Free with Wil Hingston placing 4th. Liz qualified for the South Sectionals with her performance.
Seventh grader Evan O’Brien won the 100 Fly and long with Colin Hingston combined for a 1-3 finish to extend the lead to 30 points.
Sam Rossini and Teddy Rossini combined for a 1-2 finish in the 100 Freestyle with Wil Hingston finishing 5th.
Kevin Pegurri won the 500 Free and Capt Kesley Harrington placed 5th. Kevin broke the boys’ school record during his performance.
The relay team of Evan O’Brien, Lauren O’Brien, Colin Hingston and Teddy Rossini won the 200 Free Relay.
Liz Galicki won the 100 Backstroke with support from Bianca Boncaldo and Alannah Kearney clinched the meet.
Megan Miller won the 100 Breaststroke with Colin Hingston (2nd) and Lauren O’Brien (4th) close behind.
The relay team of Teddy Rossini, Sam Rossini, Kevin Pegurri and Liz Galicki won the 400 Free Relay to complete a Bishop’s sweep of all 11 events.

Bishops Tame Tigers
The Bishops beat the O’Bryant Tigers 88-79 at the Madison Park Community center on December 13, 2018. The Bishops placed 2nd (Liz Galicki, Megan Miller, Kevin Pegurri, Sam Rossini) and 3rd (Lauren O’Brien, Megan Baio, Colin Hingston, Grace Mahoney) in the 200 Medley Relay falling two point behind.
The Bishops took the lead after the 200 Free Kevin Pegurri (1st) Kelsey Harrington (3rd) Kelsey Akoury (4th) scored 11 points for a 4-point Bishop lead.
The Bishops extended their lead after the 200 IM when Evan O’Brien placed 2nd , Megan Miller placed 3rd and Lauren O’Brien placed 4th for a 7 point lead.
The Bishops went “Beast Mode” after Sam Rossini (1st), Liz Galicki (2nd) and Megan Baio (5th) took the 50 Free. The Bishops maintained a 13 point advantage after the 100 Butterfly with Evan O’Brien placing 2nd and Colin Hingston placing 3rd. The grueling but popular 500 Free saw Kelsey Harrington (2nd) Kelsey Akoury (3rd) Tyler Dao (5th) scoring 8 point and maintained the Bishops lead. In the 200 Free Relay, the team of (1st) Megan Miller, Colin Hingston, Lauren O’Brien and Evan O’Brien won the event by 13 seconds. Liz Galicki motored past the competition in the 100 Backstroke winning the vent by 12 seconds with Colin Hingston placing second giving the Bishops a 21-point lead.
The Bishops clinched the meet after the 100 Breaststroke when Megan Miller (2nd) Lauren O’Brien (3rd) Megan Baio (5th) combined to score 8 points to clinch the meet and sealed the deal for the day.
The final event 400 Free Relay saw the Bishop's team of Evan O’Brien, Sam Rossini, Kevin Pegurri, and Liz Galicki place 1st to finish the meet. The Bishops take on CCL opponent Lowell Catholic on Sunday, December 16 at Randolph High School.

A Gold Day for the Bishops at the CCLs
The Bishops competed at Simmons College in the 18th annual CCL Swimming Championships honoring the late Cara Buckwell former coach and swimmer at Bishop Fenwick. The Bishops struck gold three times winning the 100 Butterfly, 100 Freestyle, and the 200 Freestyle Relay. The Williams swimmers placed third overall in the meet for the third time in three years, just 2 points behind the 2nd place Fenwick Crusaders closing an almost closing a 60-point gap from last year.
Before today the Bishops had never won an event in this competition. Nicole Miller ‘21 began the gold rush by winning the 100 Butterfly pulling away from the field by winning the race by almost 4 seconds as she hit the wall ahead of a field of eighteen swimmers.
Sam Rossini ’21 struck gold in the next event when he defended his top-seeded position by winning the 100 Freestyle beating a field of 27 swimmers and breaking the AWHS school record in the process.
The 200 Free Relay of Nicole Miller ’21, Liz Galicki ’21, Teddy Rossini ’20 and Sam Rossini ’21 cruised to victory, winning the event by more than five seconds, breaking the AWHS school record by almost 8 seconds and setting a new mark for the CCL meet for a mixed gender 200 Free relays. It should be noted that Teddy had just finished the 500 Free (he placed 6th) and helped the team win the event.
Earlier in the competition in the 50 Free, Liz Galicki ‘21 set a new AWHS record in the 50 Free, placing 4th among 85 swimmers and Sam Rossini ’21 finished just behind Liz, placing 5th.
The day ended when the 400 Free Relay team of Nicole Miller ’21, Liz Galicki ’21, Teddy Rossini ’20 and Sam Rossini ’21 shattered another school record by almost 5 seconds, placing second just behind Austin Prep.

Bishops Beat Lowell Catholic
On Thursday, January 25, 2018 The Bishops traveled to Lowell High School to take on the Lowell Catholic team, the most recent entry in the CCL for swimming and in doing so improved their “rebuilding season” record to 6-1.
Freshmen Sam Rossini (50 and 100 Free) and Nicole Miller (200 Free and 100 Butterfly) won two events each, Liz Galicki won the 100 Backstroke and Teddy Rossini won the 500 Freestyle. Megan Miller led a 1-2-3- sweep of the 100 breaststroke to seal the victory.
Williams WIns Battle of the Bishops!
The swimmers from Williams defeated Bishop Connolly of Fall River on Friday, January 26, 2018 improving their record to 7-1 and winning their second meet in two days at a home meet at Randolph High School. A Bishop placed first in every event and several swimmers qualified or improved their qualifying times for postseason competition
The Medley Relay of Liz Galicki ’21 (backstroke), Megan Miller ’20 (butterfly), Lauren O’Brien ’21 (breaststroke) and Sam Rossini ’21 started the meet with a win followed by Capt. Kesley Harrington, Capt Joe Yee Yip, Wil Hingston and Olivia Notarangelo in third place.
Nicole Miller ’21 led a 1-2 sweep in the 200 Freestyle with Teddy Rossini ’20, Nicole posted a qualifying time for the postseason competition. Capt Kelsey Akoury scored by placing 5th.
Next Megan Miller led a 1-2-3- sweep in the 200 Individual Medley with Lauren O’Brien and Joe Yee Yip.
Sam Rossini and Liz Galicki placed 1-2 in the 50 Free with Wil Hingston placing 4th. Nicole Miller led Bishop contingent in the 100 Fly placing 1st on a touch out of .23 seconds, with Wil Hingston 3rd and Kelsey Akoury 5th.

Teddy Rossini swam away and Kelsey Harrington 4th Sam Rossini competition in the 500 Freestyle with Coung Mai and Tyler Doa placing 4th and 5th respectively. The 200 Freestyle Relay of Nicole Miller, Megan Miller, Teddy Rossini, and Sam Rossini posted their fastest time this year in the process winning and the relay of Kelsey Harrington, Tamryn Arnold, Kesley Akoury and Joe Yee Yip placing 3rd.
Liz Galicki beat the closest competition by 7 seconds breezing to a win in the 100 Backstroke and was joined by her teammates Kelsey Harrington 3rd and Olivia Notarangelo 4th to round out the scoring in the 100 Backstroke.
For the second night in a row, Megan Miller ’20 led the Bishops to a 1-2-3 sweep in the 100 Breaststroke with her teammates Lauren O’Brien ’21 and Capt Joe Yee Yip ’18.
The Bishops completed the sweep by winning the 400 Freestyle by 17 seconds. The team of Nicole Miller, Teddy Rossini, Lauren O’Brien and Liz Galicki posted the best time of the year for the Bishops to seal the win.
ANOTHER STRONG START
The Bishops swim team is off to another strong start. Coming off a 7-2 record last year, the co-ed swim team captured win #1 against East Boston 56-36.
Although they lost a few seniors and vital members, they still have a lot of key underclassmen returning and that showed in the first meet. The only four to capture 2 individual events were all underclassmen (Nicole Miller, Teddy & Sam Rossini, and Lauren O'Brien).
Behind the leadership of junior captains Kelsey Akoury and Kelsey Harrington as well as senior captain Joe-Yee Yip, the Bishops will look to keep their winning streak alive today v. Matignon. Good luck boys and girls!

2016-2017 BISHOPS MAKE A SPLASH AT THE STATE MEET
Archbishop Williams Eighth-grader Nicole Miller capped off her record-breaking season with an 8th Place finish in the 200 Free finish and 14th in the 100 Backstroke at the MIAA Division 2 State Championships at Boston University. Nicole broke three individual school records this year and was on three record-breaking relays, as well.
Andrew Henault ’17 represented the Bishops in the Boys MIAA Division 2 State Championships in the 50 Freestyle and was the first male Bishop to swim in the meet in more than 12 years.
Megan Miller ’20, Colleen O’Callaghan ’17, Nicole Miller ’21 and Sarah McDermott ’17 represented Archbishop Williams in the 200 Medley Relay, the first Williams’ relay that qualified by time in more than 12 years for the State Championship Meet.
BISHOPS RESET 6 SCHOOL RECORDS AT STATE SECTIONAL MEET
The Bishops hit the reset button on 6 school records and breaking one every time they entered the water on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the MIT Pool for the Central South State Sectional Championships. The Meet hosted 63 schools and almost 400 competitors from Southeastern and Central Massachusetts.
Megan Miller ’20 (Backstroke), Colleen O’Callaghan ’17 (Breaststroke), Vy Doan ’17 (fly) and Nicole Miller ’21 (free) started the meet lowering their week-old record in this event with a time of 2:03.83. Nicole Miller anchored the relay and lowered the 50 Free split record to 24.91. This relay team lived to swim another day by qualifying for the State Championships next Saturday at BU.
Nicole Miller ’21 lowered her school record to 2:00.83 by a half second in the 200 Freestyle and placed 8th in a field of 58 swimmers,
Vy Doan ’17 followed up Nicole’s effort and placed 7th in the 100 Fly in a field of 50 swimmers lowering her record by almost 1 second to 1:00.88.
Vy Doan ’17, Sam Zhanghi ’18, Sarah McDermott ’17 and Nicole Miller ’21 combined for another school records with a 1:52.24 in the 200 Free Relay.
Nicole Miller ’21 dropped her record in the 100 Backstroke by 4 seconds and placed 17th out of 51 swimmers with a 1:03.88.
Vy Doan ’17 lowered her record in the 100 Breaststroke by 2 seconds with a time of 1:11.88 and placed 17th out of 33 swimmers and her 50 yard split of: 34.27 set a new standard as well.
This was the first time in at least 12 years the Bishops have sent a time qualified relay to a State Sectional Meet!
The team has a full week of practice to get ready for the Division 2 State Championships! No days off!
BISHOPS SET 6 SCHOOL RECORDS AT CCL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Bishop’s coed swim team (6-2) finished third in the CCL Championships at Simmons College with almost 300 swimmers poised to claim CCL bragging rights. The Bishops combined to break 6 school records in a Championship caliber team effort.
Nicole Miller ’21 was on fire and led the way for the Bishops finishing second in the 500 Freestyle third in the 200 Freestyle and she was named to the CCL All-Star Team. Nicole was a member of the 200 Free Relay and the 400 Freestyle relay team that both finished third place. Nicole broke or helped break a school record every time she entered the water. Nicole was named to the CCL All-Star team for the second time.
Andrew Henault ’17 in his second year of competitive swimming sprinted to a second place finish in the 50 Free and third place in the 100 Freestyle setting a boys school record in that event. Andrew was a member of the 200 Free Relay Team and 400 Free Relay team that both broke the coed school records. Andrew was named to the CCL All-Star team for the second time.
Captain Vy Doan ’17 raced to a third-place finish in the 100 Butterfly and 50 Freestyle and was a member of the 4th place medley relay team and the record-breaking 400 Free Relay team and the girl's record in the 50 Free.. Vy was named to the CCL All-Star team for the third time.
Teddy Rossini ’20 competed in the distance freestyle events and he financed 7th in the 500 Freestyle and 7th in the 200 Freestyle. Teddy helped the Bishops set two new school records in the 400 Free Relay and the 200 Freestyle relay, as well. Teddy was named to the CCL All-Star team for the second time.
Megan Miller ’20 started the 4th place 200 Medley Relay team and raced to a 6th place finish in the 200 IM (6th) and a seventh-place finish 100 Backstroke (7th) in her first CCL Championship meet. Megan was named to the CCL All-Star team for the first time.
Captain Frankie Boncaldo ’17 finishing his second year of competitive swimming finished 11th in the 50 Free and 13th in the 100 Freestyle and was a member of the 200 Medley Relay (4th) and the record-breaking 200 Free Relay.
Captain Colleen O’Callaghan ’17 raced to an 11th place finish in the 200 IM and 7 Th place in the 100 Breaststroke and helped the Bishops secure a 4th place finish in the 200 Medley Relay.
Lauren O’Brien ’21 placed 10th in the 200 IM and 10th 100 Breaststroke. Captain Sarah McDermott scored in the 200 Free (13th) and the 100 Backstroke (16th). Sam Zanghi ’18 swam to an 18th place finish in the 50 Free. Sofia Bonaldo ’17 scored points in the 500 Freestyle in her final CCL event.
Sam Rossini ’21 placed 13th in the 50 Free; Fiona Mensching ‘21 finished 13th 100 Butterfly, and Joe Yee Yip ’18 placed 12th in the 100 Breaststroke to round out the scoring for the Bishops.
The season for the Bishops continues at the Central South Sectional this coming weekend at MIT.
BISHOPS SWIM TO THIRD PLACE DUAL MEET LEAGUE FINISH; BREAK 3 SCHOOL RECORDS AT AUSTIN PREP
The Bishops (6-2) broke the 3 school records during a hard fought battle with the League Champions Austin Prep but came up short losing the meet 84-81. Captain Vy Doan ’17, Captain Colleen O’Callaghan ’17, Megan Miller ’20 and Nicole Miller ’20 combined to break the girls’ school record in the 200 Medley Relay and in the process qualified for the postseason competition at the Sectionals. This will be the first swimming relay team to compete in the postseason in more than ten years!

The Bishops (6-1) won their sixth meet of the season Monday afternoon at Division 1 opponent East Boston High School by a score of 51-42. Senior Captain Vy Doan led the way with wins in the 100 Butterfly and the 100 Breaststroke, qualifying for the States in both events and breaking her school record in the Breaststroke. Fiona Mensching placed third in the 100 Butter with Vy to win the event. Freshman Teddy Rossini won the 200 Free and the 500 Free, 8th grader Nicole Miller won the 200 IM and the 100 Backstroke breaking the school record in the backstroke and qualifying for the State Sectionals, as well, Teddy combined with Senior Sofia Boncaldo for a 1-2 sweep in the 500 Free. Senior Captain Sarah McDermott combined with Teddy for a 1-2 sweep in the 200 Freestyle.

BISHOPS GO "BEAST MODE"
The Bishops (4-1) went “Beast Mode” on Thursday afternoon in Brockton against Cardinal Spellman and won their fourth dual meet of the season in CCL action by a score of 95 - 66. The Williams swimmer won every event and placed a swimmer in first in all but one event. Bishops Beat Spartans
The Bishops (3-1) defeated the Spartans of St. Mary (Lynn) 91 to 74 on Tuesday evening. The William’s attack was led by Senior Captain Vy Doan (200 Individual Medley and 100 Butterfly)) and Senior Andrew Henault (50 Free and 100 Free) who both won two individual events and contributed to winning relays. Vy qualified for the MIAA State Swimming Championships in the 100 Fly. Nicole Miller ‘21 chipped in with a win in the 200 Free and a second in the 500 Free and was on two winning relays. Senior Captain Colleen O’Callagahan won the 100 Breaststroke and was on the winning Medley Relay team. Senior Captain Frankie Boncaldo swam on two winning relays and posted two third place finished in the 50 and 100 Free. Freshman Megan Miller placed second in the 100 Backstroke and was on the winning Medley Relay. Senior Captain Sarah McDermott placed third in the 200 Frestyle who along with Freshman Teddy Rossini and Nicole Miller swept the event. Archbishop Williams is committed to providing the necessary tools for its athletes to excel in the swimming program. The Bishops practice for 1.5 hours each weekday, Monday through Friday, at the 6 lane Connell Memorial Pool in Weymouth and swim a full dual and championship meet schedule. Many of our top swimmers developed their skills participating in the AWHS program.

RESULTS FROM THE 2015-2016 SEASON
The Bishops swam to a third-place finish at the Coed Catholic Central League Swimming Championships last Saturday in the 8 school (Austin Prep, Bishop Fenwick, Archbishop Williams, Matignon/St. Joes, Cardinal Spellman, Arlington Catholic, St. Mary, Marian) meet. The Bishops bounced-up from a 6th place finish last year along with a 5-4 dual a meet record up from 1-7-1 last year. Last year’s weakness became strengths with the Bishops placing 4 swimmers in the scoring column in the freestyle sprints in the 50 and 100 Freestyle and placing third in the 200 Freestyle Relay and the 400 Freestyle Relay.

Junior Vy Doan placed 3rd in the 50 Free and 4th in the 100 Butterfly. Nicole Miller ’21 placed 3rd in the 500 Freestyle and 4th in the 200 Freestyle. Junior Andrew Henault swimming in his first Championship meet, placed 4th in the 50 Free and 6th in the 100 Free. Teddy Rossini ‘20 placed 8th in the 200 Free and 11th in the 100 Backstroke. Colleen O’Callaghan ’17 placed 16th in the 100 Breaststroke.

Frankie Boncaldo ’17 swimming competitively for his first year and in his first championship meet placed 10th in the 50 Free (in a field of 84 swimmers) and 12th in the 100 Free. Sam Crumley ’17 placed 10th in the 100 Free and tied with Frankie in 10th place in the 50 Free. Sam Rossini ‘21 placed 16th in the 100 Free and 23 in the 50 Free. Lauren O’Brien ‘21 placed 11th in the 200 IM and 17th in the 100 Breaststroke.
The 200 Medley Realy team of Nicole Miller, Colleen O’Callaghan, Vy Doan and Captain Sarah McDermott ’17 raced to a 6th place finish.
The 200 Freestyle Relay of Frankie Boncaldo, Sam Crumley, Teddy Rossini and Andrew Henault went “beast mode” for a third place finish and shaving 8 seconds off their seed time.
The 400 Freestyle Relay of Sam Crumley, Andrew Henault, Nicole Miller and Vy Doan raced to a third place finish to clinch an overall third place finish to complete the scoring.
Olivia Boncaldo ‘17, Sofia Boncaldo ‘17, Molly Shiner ‘17, Jackie McEachern ‘17, Sam Zanghi ‘18, Kelsey Akoury ‘19, Kelsey Harrington ‘19 and Joe Yee Yip ’18 rounded out the squad. The 18 member squad has no seniors on the team and boasted 8 rookies this year, 5 of whom scored in their first Championship meet. Next year……..we’re all baaaack!
